Lang Ping was chosen as the Olympic’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) by the International Federation of Volleyball.
Her nickname, Lang Ping, serves as an excellent guide to her career as a player and as a person. Her team won three Olympic Gold medals and two World Championships as part of Cuba’s gold medal winning streak. The FIVB has named Regla Torres as the greatest female volleyball player of the twentieth century. It would be impossible to choose one over the other, but if we had to, we would say that Misty May-Treanor is the best women’s indoor volleyball player ever in college. They are both incredibly talented and have demonstrated their skills time and again on the court. These two athletes have been dominating the sport for years and have helped their teams to win numerous championships. The best women’s indoor volleyball player ever in college would have to be a very close tie between two amazing players: Kerri Walsh Jennings and Misty May-Treanor.
